RISK: Few countries can defend against cyber attacks

U.S. and UK to test security through cyber war games

Most countries can’t defend themselves from serious cyber attacks, says Kaspersky Lab CEO Eugene Kaspersky, who advises the Europol, Interpol and the UK government on cyber security issues.

The UK has more advanced security systems than many nations but the government still fears the destruction terrorist hackers could bring about.

British and American officials will test the security of each other’s financial institutions, transportation systems and power suppliers later this year through a series of cyber war games. Agents from both countries will share defense strategies and information on threats in a joint cyber cell.
