New CSIO video gives first look at eSlip tool

The organization initially announced its plans to produce digital slips for auto insurance in June

The Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO) is providing a first look at the features of the organization’s new digital proof of auto insurance program. The initiative is expected to be launched by the end of this year.

The CSIO produced a video that shows consumers what their eSlip will look like, how to access the information available on the eSlip and how to share the document with other people or devices. The eSlips are designed so they can be added to mobile digital wallets that are common to Apple, Android and Windows smartphones.

The CSIO is working with some insurers and brokerages to make the eSlip solution available to the general public. The organization initially announced its plans for the venture in June.

“We are excited to work with our members including Gore Mutual, Northbridge Insurance, RSA Canada, and a number of brokerages on developing this eSlips solution for the P&C industry,” says Catherine Smola, CSIO president and CEO, in a statement. “[These] eSlips will provide members with an easy, accessible way to meet consumers where they are today – on their mobile devices.”

The video can be found on the CSIO’s website.
