Insurance premiums may soon be affected by clients’ tweets and Facebook posts, Economic Times warns.

“Companies are investing in big data as they face pressure to perform,” says Anurag Shah, founder of Aureus Analytics that primarily works with insurance companies.

He’s specifically referring to Indian insurers but with EY’s recent suggestion to focus on data analytics, the Facebook stalking trend could soon come to Canada.
