Hub heads to the Arctic

The global brokerage firm acquires Nunavut Insurance Brokers

Hub International Limited has acquired the shares of Nunavut Insurance Brokers Ltd. (Nunavut), a full-service insurance brokerage firm operating in Nunavut and Northwest Territories. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

The Nunavut operation will become part of Hub International Horizon Insurance (Hub Horizon), reporting to Keith Jordan, president and CEO, Hub Horizon.  This acquisition will add three new office locations to Hub Horizon’s footprint in the region.

Founded in 2002, Nunavut offers its clients a broad array of personal and commercial insurance solutions, with expertise in arranging coverage for the construction, bonding, and distant early warning (DEW) line work industries. Nunavut will now be able to offer its clients additional products, market relationships, and services as part of the tenth largest global insurance brokerage firm and one of Canada’s largest insurance brokerage firms.

Hub has also announced its acquisition of Ger-Win Enterprises, Ltd. and St. Andrews Insurance Ltd., two Manitoba-based full service insurance brokerage firms. Terms of this acquisition were not disclosed. The Ger-Win operations will become part of Hub International Horizon, adding two new office locations in Beausejour and Lockport, Manitoba.

Founded in 1965, Ger-Win has a long-standing tradition of providing personal and commercial insurance products and services.
