AIG’s loss is QBE’s gain as Russell Johnston joins the Aussie insurer’s North American operations. He’ll come onboard as its CEO at the end of this month.

Johnston will take over from David Duclos, who is retiring from full-time work but sticking around as a non-executive director of QBE Emerging Markets and Equator Re.
