Does the type of vehicle you drive affect your driving habits?

Majority of Canadian Lamborghini drivers have a clean record: report

In Canada, Lamborghini and Aston Martin drivers are the safest on the road with 71% of them holding a clean driving record free of tickets, claims and accidents, higher than the national average at 53%, according to a recent report by KANETIX.

The study compared driving history of 10 types of vehicles to see if the car Canadians drive really does have an impact on how they drive it.

In fact, only 5% of Aston Martin drivers and 7% of Lamborghini drivers have been in an accident in the last two years. Kia drivers report the highest number of accidents, with 15% having been in an accident in the same timeframe.

“Our report shows that there is a correlation between the type of car that you drive, and the way that you drive it,” Janine White, vice president, Marketplaces, KANETIX, said in a press release. “While we don’t expect people will change the kind of car they drive to be safer on the road, we do hope that these findings will help us all be a little bit more conscious of the way they drive.”
