BrokerLink Insurance expands with three new brokerages

Investments in technology and increased access to insurance products convinced independent brokerages to sell to BrokerLink

BrokerLink Insurance is welcoming Full Circle Insurance Ltd., Fairview Insurance Brokers Inc. and Steven Kaluski Insurance Brokers Ltd., into its fold.

“BrokerLink has over 1,400 employees across Alberta, Atlantic Canada and Ontario,” said Peter Weightman, president of BrokerLink. “This network allows employees to learn from one another and share best practices. It also allows us to stay connected with the needs of communities we serve. We welcome the employees of Full Circle Insurance Ltd., Fairview Insurance Brokers Inc. and Steven Kaluski Insurance Brokers Ltd. to the BrokerLink network and community.”

Full Circle Insurance is based in Edmonton and has served its community since 1985. The brokerage specializes in personal insurance and offers coverage for homes, autos and recreation or travel.

“It’s a big decision to sell a business; BrokerLink’s process and resources gave us peace of mind,” said Stan Humphries, president of Full Circle Insurance. “BrokerLink has the capacity to provide technology and administrative support. Also, their human resources, marketing and operational support allow for a smooth integration.”

Fairview Insurance Brokers is a full-service brokerage located in Mississauga, Ont. It was established in 1982 partially through the efforts of Fred De Francesco, who cited the resources that BrokerLink can provide to employees as a key reason for his decision to move. “As business owners, we’re responsible for the well-being of our employees. We know BrokerLink has the tools and resources our employees need to succeed and grow in their careers,” said De Francesco.

Steven Kaluski Insurance Brokers, in Ottawa, has more than 50 years of experience offering both commercial and personal insurance to its customers. Debra Leadbetter, president of the brokerage, described the move as a “win-win situation.”

“BrokerLink has access to a wide range of insurance products which helps expand our brokers’ customer base and their ability to offer more options to existing customers. The customer, in turn, receives the best insurance for their needs,” she said.
