Compu-Quote, an underwriting and rating software used nationally by insurance companies and brokerages, now provides quotes for Individually Rated Commercial Automobiles (IRCA) through a web-based module. The program will generate rates from insurers including Aviva Canada, AXA Insurance, Intact Insurance, and The Economical Insurance Group.

The IRCA Quoting Application is enhanced to gather additional IRCA specific underwriting and rating data, according to a press release. It will provide quotes for classes, allow for expanded policy coverages and limits, and offer endorsements and policy forms.

Also, the program will offer added functionality for brokers, such as application and form printing (CSIO Application and the Commercial Vehicle Supplement), and the bidirectional transfer of data (CQ Integration) between the IRCA Quoting Application and the broker’s management system.

“Traditionally, full underwriting and rating software products for commercial lines have not been widely available,” said James Nickelo, senior vice president at Compu-Quote in a media release. “This is an extremely exciting and active market so we needed to provide the brokers with effective tools. To that end, we worked with some of the most prominent insurers in Canada to develop a tool that is efficient and fits the brokers’ workflow.”
